Designed and built by Hoverit Ltd, the Hoverit floating lounger is just the first piece of their hovering furniture line. This hand made limited edition lounge chair is made from clear acrylic, uses magnets to hover in mid air and is equipped with an anti-scratch mat and castors at the base to allow for easy moving. Supposedly the permanent magnets can also help your back, muscular problems and headaches along with the sensation of floating on a cloud. Not yet in production, the price of this floating plastic lounge chair is unknown, but is sure to be on the pricey side. I have to admit it looks kinda cool but it definitely does not look comfortable.

Featured at this years Consumer Electronics Show, the Alienware curved display will no doubt be a huge hit with gamers. The size of the display is the equivalent of two 24″ monitors and uses DLP rear projection technology for an incredible gaming experience. The native resolution is 2880×900 and boasts a response time of less than .02 milliseconds. The price of this Alienware prototype has not yet been announced and will be available to the public in late 2008.

Almost as thin as your finger the Macbbok Air weighs about 3 lbs and features a 13.3 inch widescreen display, built in iSight camera, full size keyboard, and a multi-touch gesture trackpad that allows you to quickly pan around photos and flick through different windows. Priced at $1799 you can pre-order now but the Macbook Air won’t ship for another two weeks.
